My Jeep Journey
Just getting started

This picture was taken before I purchased my jeep. Just as a starting point I includes this picture of the Stitchcomb Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma near Oklahoma City. It was take while I was living their for my last job. Stitchcomb is a pretty interesting area that has a small creek that flows for several miles through and around wildlife area. This picture was taken at around 4PM where the creek is wide and fairly deep. Areas before and after this section were much narrower (some times less than 10 feet) and only a few inches deep. It was actually pretty difficult to paddle in those areas because the paddle would hit bottom when less than 6 inches deep.

Unfortunately, I also dont have any pictures of my Jeep taken prior to making any modifications. So I included one of the earlier pictures I took of the Jeep. I think at this point I had only added skid plates to the Jeep. I purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary model in Nov 2021 for about $28,000. Unfortunately, that was during or just after the COVID scare and Jeep prices were WAY inflated and I did not really do adequate research regarding what to look for when purchasing a jeep (more on that later). The jeep had a little less then 90K miles. The anvil colored (gray) jeep, came with a red leather interior 3.73 gearing, a 3.6L engine, an automatic transmission, and a color matching hard top. The previous owner had added Rough Country front and rear bumpers, metal flat fenders, and Rough Country metal inner fender wells but no other modifications or upgrades.
